About Us In 2001 our company was approached by a local businessman to explore stained concrete for a store front he was opening. At this time we specialized in painting commercial and residential properties. After exploring stained concrete and various companies, we contacted Kemico in Texas. Since we were looking for expert education in stained concrete application, Kemiko referred us to Sheillie and Tim Rigsby (Acanthus, Inc.) in Plano, Texas. The Rigsbys conducted our initial training and their expertise and enthusiasm helped launch us into this exciting occupation! After growing this business for two or three years we continued our training by attending classes with Bob Harris (Decorative Concrete Institute, Douglassville, GA) and Victor Pachade (Color Maker, Richmond, British Columbia). With these experiences we expanded our business offerings to include overlay, countertops and engraving detail. In 2007 we were asked to work with other concrete artists at The World on Concrete in Las Vegas, NV. there we used various techniques to develop three different art projects. This was a tremendous educational expreince! As a company we are constantly looking for ways to improve and refine what we do.
